About:

Trikatu is a formulation consisting of three herbs, i.e., kali mirch (Piper nigrum), sunthi (Zingiber officinale) & pipli (Piper longum), which has been used traditionally for a long period of time in India. It stimulates the activity of enzymes, thus supports digestion and overall gastric function. Along with having properties to be beneficial in arthritis, it also acts as a detoxifier and helps in weight management.

Composition:

Each capsule contains:

  • Kali Mirch (Piper nigrum) : 165 mg
  • Sunthi (Zingiber officinale) : 165 mg
  • Pipli (Piper longum) : 170 mg

What are Digestive Problems?

The most complicated and extensive system of human body is digestive system. Digestion doesn’t happen only in the stomach but it starts right in the mouth and ends at the rectum. The system helps our body to absorb the essential nutrients from the food we eat and removes the waste.

Digestive problems can vary from an embarrassing gas situation to uncomfortable heartburn. These problems should not be ignored and be treated well in time; else they can lead to more serious, chronic situations.

  1. Acid Reflux or GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease): This is a disease when stomach acid backs up or refluxes into your oesophagus.   • Develop a habit of drinking water in the morning.
  • Take a powdered mixture of mishri, fennel, and green cardamom in equal parts. Mix 1 teaspoon of the mixture in a glass of cold milk and drink at times of heartburn.
  • Mix together equal parts of powdered fennel, licorice root, basil leaves, and coriander seeds. Take ½ teaspoon of this mixture with a ½ teaspoon of powdered mishri 15 minutes before lunch and dinner.
